Here we are in the last week of June, and it’s been an eventful month. Jake graduated from high school. Paul Edward and Mel celebrated 30 years of marriage. Demetri and Kaleigh had their first wedding anniversary, and our youngest grandchild, Kadie, is now a teenager. This all happened the first 5 days of June….. And, our great grandson, Ethan Northrup, turned two. I’d say we have lots to be thankful for!
I decided to take all of the Tsika women (12 of us) on a three day mini vacation. Our Malory was the only one who couldn’t make the trip. She has a new job, so she couldn’t take off work. She was missed! We traveled to the Woodlands Resort just north of Houston so that our grand daughters who worked in the area could make it at least one day. We had a great time riding the lazy river, sunning, eating, getting manicures and pedicures, playing games and just sitting around talking. I plan to do this again.
I finished my manuscript, so a friend is putting the chapters in for me to make it read and make sense. It has been a labor of love, so I’m excited to get it to the publishers. I chosen the title Priceless, A Woman to be Praised. The publishers may decide to have their own title for the book, but so far this is the one I’m going with.
Mark, Gretchen, Meagan and Benny Torres (the man who works for us) have been spending time in the shed getting all the product (cds and books) ready to be shipped to all of the family reunions we will be going to in July and August; Portland, OR, Calgary, Canada, Spokane, WA and Denver. We leave the 8th of July and get home the 6th of August. We are looking forward to being with friends, seeing some beautiful country and watching God work miracles in people’s lives on the four Sunday mornings when Paul and Mark will be preaching. We covet your prayers.
Thom and Kelley and their family flew to Cabo, Mexico, for Jake’s senior trip. They have dear friends, Richard and Amy Hillis, who have a time share, so their made the trip with them. It was a fabulous trip, and the pictures they took are priceless.
Paul stays busy studying and counseling on the phone. His refuge is our bay house which is just 20 minutes from the ranch. He can rest and get lots done there. I tease him and call him Mister Mom because he won’t let me do anything there. He cooks, cleans the kitchen, makes the bed and even does the laundry. Hey, I’m fine with this!
Our new devotional, Growing in Favor, will be available in July. I must say it’s great. I know it will be as big a blessing as our first devotional, Growing in Grace.
May you be abundantly blessed as you love and serve our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
“But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.” Romans 5:8
What a blessed Thanksgiving we had this year. The children and most of the grand children were here during the week, along with Bobby and Shelly Kummer from Spokane, Washington. We actually had three Thanksgiving meals. This way we don’t have so much food in one day that we can’t enjoy it all.
November is here, and we are gearing up for Thanksgiving and Christmas. Seems like I just decorated our home for the holidays! Good thing I leave my Christmas tree up all year, otherwise I would have more to do than just decorate.
