July 2021 Update
We started out the month in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho, at the Puryear Moving Up. It was so great to get together, especially in such a beautiful place. The resort is amazing. However, going to Jim and Bobbi Puryears’ home in Otis Orchard, Washington, on Thursday night was over-the-top. They are wonderful hosts! The food was so delicious and the fellowship was so restoring.
We flew from Washington to Denver, Colorado, for the Ryder and Nicole Erickson Moving Up at the Gaylord Resort. This couple is so precious. They have done a tremendous job building their organization, with the help of many of the diamonds in their organization, to a grand scale.
Paul flew from Denver to Dave Severn’s Celebration Service in Spokane, Washington. Dave and Jan were icons in WWDB. They are both missed, greatly.
We flew from Denver to San Diego, California, to celebrate the life of Joe Foglio. What a wonderful and kind man he was! Norma, his amazing wife, flew in from Ohio. She and Joe built a huge business for WW. The celebration was one of the most Christ honoring Paul and I have ever attended. Norma was always my favorite speaker at the functions! I love this woman!
The Glen and Joya Baker Moving Up was at Lake Las Vegas this year. Fantastic time with this amazing couple and their organization!! It was over 100 degrees most of the days. However, Glen, Thom and Paul golfed, anyway. I mostly stayed in doors, as it was a dry heat without the humidity I enjoy.
The greatest time during these functions is hearing the stories of these couples. It blesses us to know how they over came all the heartaches and difficulties, yet they didn’t let anything stop them from building a great life for themselves and their families.
During the month of June, we celebrated three anniversaries and two birthdays. Paul and Melanie celebrated 33 years; Demetri and Kaleigh 3 years and Cody and Shelby 2 years. Our Kadie Jewel turned 16 years old. She started home schooling when she was a freshman and is now a junior. Our little Allie Clair ( Gretchen’s grand daughter) is a year old, and what a personality!
We are so exited for the FED’s that will be held in Las Vegas in October. Paul has a new book out on leadership that will be available during this time. Kelley’s second children’s book, Lumi the Light Learns about Friendship, will also be available.
We are looking forward to seeing some of you in the next few months.
