June 2021 Update

Well, where do I start? When I checked the ranch news for updates, I realized I hadn’t updated since December 2020. Really, I have no excuse, but I’m going to give one, anyway. Mark always emailed me for an update, but since he was so sick, he just never thought about this. He had too much on his mind. Actually, there wasn’t much going on because of COVID.
As most know by now, our precious son-in-law went to be with our Lord April 8 of this year. How we miss him! He fought a good fight! However, God said it was time to come home. Gretchen and the girls are doing well. They have each other and new babies in the family. These grandchildren of Gretchen’s have filled her life with joy.
Thom, Kelley, Kadie and I flew to Lacey, WA (Seattle) to visit with Jake, Kait and Blakeley for a few days. They are doing great and expecting a new addition in November. Blakeley turned one in April. She is such a cutie and walking all over the place
Our little Allie Clair turned one in June. She is such a happy baby. Her brother, Ethan, won’t let her down! Of course, they love each other so much. Ethan is a wonderful big brother.
Shane and Marissa are watching Daniel Mark trying to talk. He’s only 2 months old but full of life. They are still in Colorado. Hopefully one day we will get them to Texas!!
Jonathan and Emily are loving their life. They will celebrate their one year anniversary this year. Seems like Jon has been in the family for years. We love him. Jaylen is almost 8 years old. Wow! He is growing up so fast.
Trace and Marlee have moved back to the Houston area since Trace graduated from school. They celebrated their one year anniversary in June.
Demetri and Kaleigh are doing great. They are praying for children! I know God will give them a quiver full.
Zeke and Paxton are also doing great. Paxton has her travel website, One Joy Travel. Look her up and plan your trips.
Cody and Shelby are very busy. Cody is at Texas A&M (Geaux Tiger), and Shelby’s Food Photography keeps her busy, busy.
Meagan and Kadie are our only grandchildren that aren’t married. Meagan has been an absolute blessing for her mom. She stays busy here at the ranch. She is a tremendous aunt, and is a great help to Malory when she needs her.
Kadie is only 16, so of course she’s still single. She has been homeschooling for 3 years and loves it.
Paul Edward and Melanie will begin building the church building in Katy this year. They have been faithful building their people, now it’t time to have their own building.
Paul and I celebrated our 55th wedding anniversary in April. We took a trip with Bob and Shelly Kummer to our condo in Burnsville, NC. No, it wasn’t the greatest trip as Paul and I got COVID on the trip and stayed in bed the whole time we were in NC. Bob drove us back home, and we were in bed for another week.
Paul wrote me a great poem for our anniversary, but he didn’t give it to me until a week later, as I wouldn’t have appreciated it while I was sick. I’ll share it at the end of this update.
We are grateful to be traveling, again. We have a busy July, for which we are so thankful. Hope to see you some time soon. May God richly bless you as you love and serve Him.

For our 55th

It seemed like only yesterday
That you walked into my heart
I’d never seen such beauty
I’ve loved you from the start

My life would never be the same
But I never realized how
We’d go from where we were back then
To where we are right now

My life is filled with moments
With every breath I take
A life complete in every way
With the difference that you make

I think you’ve always been inside
My heart, my mind, my soul
And my love for you grows stronger
As together we grow old

So on this anniversary
Of 55 wonderful years
We remember God’s amazing grace
And with our joyful tears

If I should sing your praises
Until the day I die
The scroll I’d use would not suffice
Tho stretched from sky to sky

You are an amazing woman
Who deserves the best in life
I found the best when I met you
And that day you became my wife

I wishI had the words to write
To tell you how I feel
You’ve made my life a dream come true
My love for you is real

Paul E Tsika
