Sept/Oct 2023 update

Well, it’s definitely time to update!!  These months fly by without me paying attention to the newsletter. I put stuff on Facebook thinking I’ve updated the newsletter.

August was a quiet month.  I had new lenses put in my eyes.  WOW!  What a difference!  I am so thrilled I got this done.  I can see clearly now!  I am so thankful for doctors who can do this type of surgery, and thankful God allowed man to discover how to do this!  (Pro 25:2)

Paul and Melanie began a new work, Catalyst Community Church in Katy.  God has blessed them as they endeavor to minister to those who are in need of a loving community.  They have a heart to teach, train and send!

I took Gretchen to Maine for her anniversary.  She and Mark talked about going to Maine, but Mark never made it.  Gretchen was born in Maine and has many memories of visiting her grandparents.  Paul’s sister, Sandra Dittemore, joined us.  We had a fantastic time.  We saw some lighthouses and had some delicious food.  The flowers in Maine are so gorgeous.  We loved riding around seeing the rocky shore and beautiful flowers.

FED in Las Vegas was absolutely amazing. The Sunday morning service was such a blessed time as those who came forward for salvation and healing were given hope and life. There are so many hurting people who just need someone to care!

Our granddaughter, Shelby, signed many of her books and ministered to many who came to the table to purchase Seasons of Sorrow.  Kelley’s 3rd Lumi book was a hit!  Paul’s book, Discovering the Warrior in You, sold out.  We are so grateful that God allows us to give truth through our writings to so many.

We flew home for a few days then off to Tacoma for the second FED, which was also a weekend to praise God for, as He was faithful to touch hearts.

Our grandson, Jake, and his precious family have moved to Texas and live not far from us or his parents.  We are so thankful that God allowed them to be here.  He has a great job, and they found a cute little rental not far from his cousins, Demetri and Zeke.  They will have another son in February.  We are so excited to meet our 14th great grandchild.

Since my last update we hired a new secretary.  Renee Gay has been a God-sent!  She lives 5 minutes from us, which is a blessing for her and us.  She flew to Tacoma with us for FED weekend to get another view of our ministry.  She said it was good to put faces to names!

We are so, so thankful that God allows us to be a part of WWDB.  This is our mission field!  We are thankful that Thom and Kelley work with us to keep the ministry going.  It was a blessing to have Paul and Melanie with us in Vegas. So many people remembered them because they traveled with us for 10 years prior to Mark and Gretchen coming on board.  Kadie was with us in Vegas and Tacoma.  She loves working the book table, but mostly talking and ministering to the people who come to purchase books.

       Blessings!
