JULY-AUGUST 2026

I must say, this has been a low-key summer. We spent a couple of weeks in North Carolina at our condo with Paul’s sis and brother-in-law who were staying in our condo for a few months.

We spent the 4th of July in Texas. Then we flew to Hawaii for Matt and Sandee Tsuruda’s Summer Event. What a fabulous time. Paul spoke on Saturday evening, preached Sunday morning, then we did a marriage seminar that evening. Fantastic time with this precious group from Hawaii.

July 20th we were awakened by a small plane crashing outside our bedroom. A friend of ours, who is a pilot here in our community, is doing fine, but he did have a few broken bones. We are praising God he wasn’t badly hurt. All has been repaired.

We left for our condo the first part of August. It is so gorgeous here in the Blue Ridge Mountains. Burnsville is a quaint little town just below Mountain Air Country Club where our condo is located. Thom and Kelley have a home here that was left by her parents. They come up any time they can.

Of course, we continue to counsel over zoom or in person. People are hurting and need spiritual help. They need someone to love them and share their troubles or heartaches with on this earth. We are blessed to be favored by God to do this.

Our secretary, Renee, holds down the fort when we’re away. Paul Edward and Melanie check on things for us. We are blessed to trust these three to take care of things for us.

It was sad to see our sis and brother-in-law leave for Virginia. They were in our condo for 10 months. What a joy it was to be able to share this place with them while they waited for their condo to be built.

We will head to Augusta, Georgia for a friend’s wedding. Paul will be preaching at Grace Fellowship, where we used to be members. We will be back in Texas a couple of weeks, then head back to the mountain.
